NEW TRIP- GREAT OFFER
My friends at Avalon just contacted me about a new combination trip that they are offering for part of the year. It combines the two great destinations of Island of the Youth, and Cayo Largo, into one trip. Guests would stay aboard the nicely appointed yacht, the JA1. There are 6 spots available for this week - with 4 single rooms and 1 double. There are two options in booking it:

The fishing itself will change dramatically throughout the week. The western segment, nearest Island of the Youth, will be made up largely of Tarpon opportunities. In channels, mangroves, and dark-bottomed bays both juvenile and teenage Tarpon will provide great entertainment. There are Snook here as well as many Snappers and Jacks.
It should be said that there are Bonefish and Permit living in this western zone, but they get much more prolific as the yacht makes it way east during the week. As it does, the habitat changes from being dominated by mangrove islands, to immense light-colored flats. This is some of the most coveted Permit water in all of Cuba. And the Bonefish here are on the larger size, with many fish being between 4 and 7 pounds
