Colombia Trip Report
For the third year in a row, I have lead groups into the Colombian jungle in search of trophy-sized Peacock Bass. We use Colombia Afloat, which in my view is the best outfitter by leaps and bounds in this part of the world. They do just about everything right, with exceptional service, organization, and communication. Love them.
I had two weeks in the jungle during the last month. One thing that was very consistent, was that every day was markedly different. Some days we struggled to find fish, and other days we racked up big numbers. Some really large Peacocks were caught, including 2 over 20 pounds.
But best of all, we had great groups of really fun and interesting people. All of them, I think, are now impressed with Colombia after spending a little time in Medellin, as well as their fishing week in the jungle. I will announce hosted weeks soon for 2023. Stay tuned!
