CUBA CULTURAL/FISHING COMBO TRIP

If you have read much that I have written in the past, you may know that this is my absolute favorite trip to do in Cuba. This time around, I will be hosting with Dave McCoy of Emerald Water Anglers in Seattle. This is a unique trip for several reasons. Most important is that I have spent a lot of time in Cuba, and have made contacts that few if any other tour operators have. This means that besides doing some of what is expected, like taking a car tour of Havana in old American cars and touring a cigar factory, we will visit a primary school and meet students and teachers. We will have a private concert by musicians that you will have to see and hear to believe. We will attend a dance performance in an acclaimed dance academy that will impress and inspire you. We will hike in to the hills surrounding the famous Vinales valley to have a pig roast prepared by a local family. This is just a sampling of our cultural itinerary which will be a bit longer than normal at 5 days.

After our introduction to life in Cuba, we will fish! We will base ourselves on the beach of the famous Bay of Pigs, and fish the saltwater flats of an area called Las Salinas. We will also fish a famous jungle river where we will pursue Tarpon. This is also slightly longer than what we normally do for this combination trip, where we will fish for 5 days.

Please consider joining us. I guarantee that this is a truly unique trip, which anyone interested in Cuba will highly enjoy. Reach out if you have any questions.
